Owner, Jake Mitchell, started his career in 2000, as a labourer for Italian and Irish brick and stone masons, working on historical buildings in Boston, Massachusetts. After years of observation, learning, and assisting these masons, he earned his place on the team and began his historical restoration journey.

After 11 years with the same company, Jake started his own Repointing and Restoration business; taking with him over 200 years of knowledge from his mentors and expanding his services to include residential and commercial projects. In 2016, he continued his passion when he moved to Manchester, UK, and started ARCHER Brick & Stone Ltd.

Today, Jake and his company strive to preserve the integrity of all buildings and houses throughout England by utilising over 50 years of their combined experience, expertise, and craftsmanship.

I needed the gable of my home and front stairs pointed badly. I decided to message them and Jake responded the same evening and gave me a quote the following day. He was very polite and easy to talk with and carried out a wonderful job. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend them.

Delighted with the work Jake did restoring the broken and damaged driveway entrance posts. He took the supports back to their foundations, dismantling and cleaning the brickwork and rebuilt the posts back to their original condition. A great job very well done and at a very reasonable cost.

Brick Steps. Jake made decorative brick steps for us to lead from our kitchen to the garden of our Victorian property. I am delighted with the result.
